Typography

Assignment

Create a typographic spec sheet of a FontFreak type face. Work at 200 Pixels per inch in an 8.5 x 11 inch format. The sheet should contain the following:

  • The name FontFreak's (Typeface Name).
  • A sample alphabet.
  • A quote, literary or musical passage that matches the character of the face chosen.
  • The reference for the quote (who said it?).
  • A large letterform, on the bottom layer, dividing the page into interesting positive and negative spaces.
  • The words: "Poster design by [Your Name] .

Somewhere in the design make use of drop shadow and or beveling.

Grade will be based on

  • Font appropriate to quote
  • All elements present
  • Sharp, antialiased type
  • Respect for "safe title areas in design.
  • Printing
