Course Description
This is a capstone course for Digital Media majors, meant to be taken in the senior year after all of the required studio courses for the major have been completed. Students will prepare two versions of a professional quality portfolio, one physical and one on their own web site. Students will demonstrate breadth of capability through presentation of works done in a variety of digital media. Additionally, through a capstone project or a suitable internship they will demonstrate a depth of knowledge in a focused area. Finally, students will learn how to write proposals and deal with business communications as it relates to their field. Permission of instructor required.

- Quality of craft.

- Attention to deadlines. (Late assignments are penalized one letter grade.)
- Attendance (5 or more absences results in automatic failure of the course.3 or more absences results in lowering final grade by one letter grade. Being late or leaving early is counted as ½ an absence.)

Course Outline
There are two main objectives behind this course. One is to help students prepare professional quality portfolios in both print and electronic form. The other is to allow student’s to prepare a portfolio piece that showcases their field of interest and particular skill. The outline below reflects these two purposes: the left column deals with the showcase project and the right column generally deals with assignments aimed at polishing student portfolios.
